Hundreds of colorful, exotic butterflies fly freely amid bright nectar blooms. During daily presentations, butterflies emerge from their chrysalises for their first flight.

The hidden, secret world at our feet is revealed as tender and torrid, noisy and quiet, peaceful and chaotic. And as the sun rises on a bright new day the vibrant cycle of insect life begins anew.

Put your imaginations in gear and go! Kids will have the opportunity to climb aboard and get behind the wheel of their favorite vehicles, ask their operators questions and meet some of their hometown heroes. From ambulances to fire trucks, military vehicles to a helicopter – many life-sized hot wheels will be on display. Additional activities include arts & crafts, Pit Stop Challenge, bounce house, mascots and rides on the Trackless Train. We will also have Columbus Public Health doing car seat checks! Visit with a medical doctor from Ohio Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics Injury Prevention programs. Admission is free to the event but we ask that you bring a canned food item to help Stuff the Truck (will be donated to the Worthington Food Pantry).

 

Asian Festival                                     5/27/2017 – 5/28/2017                   Free                                                                asian festival

Columbus’ significant Asian heritage is on display at the beautifully manicured Franklin Park every Memorial Day weekend. With food, dance, sports and music from across Asia, this festival is a great way to kick off summer!
